DID YOU KNOW THAT SHARING DOG VIDEOS AND PHOTOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA WORKS? (HOW DO YOU THINK I GOT HERE?)
IT'S JUST ONE EASY WAY TO HELP A SHELTER DOG.
We at Outta the Cage are not the kind of folks who quote from academic research. And yet, a recent study in the Journal of Applied Animal Welfare Science found that people who watched videos of dogs viewed those dogs more favorably than dogs shown in still photographs. Viewers imagined the video dogs to be “more trainable, intelligent, and friendly” than the dogs in photos.
We’ve been shooting and sharing videos of shelter dogs since 2014, and our data corroborates these research findings. This is why Outta the Cage wants to encourage you to network our video dogs and help save 'em.
It's easy to get started: Find a dog (or two or three) that's currently available and share them using the social buttons (Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, email, etc.) on the left side of your screen.
Bottom line: Videos save more lives.
